Volunteer

Our beloved town festival can’t happen without your help—we always need volunteers for set-up on Saturday and on the big day, Sunday. From pre-festival setup and running fun kids’ games to slinging fried dough and serving up cider, over 140 volunteers are essential to keep this beloved tradition running smoothly. 

Over the months leading up to the Festival, volunteers meet periodically to check in with the board and help organize events.

We ask volunteers to commit to one or more 2-hour time slots over the weekend of the Festival. Activities include:

• Pre-Festival set-up on Saturday (assemble and mount feather banners, put up parking signs, set up tables for children’s activities, assemble tables and chairs for music area and more (10 volunteers)
• Parking — Help direct traffic on Festival day (9 volunteers)
• Crafters – Greet crafters as they arrive in upper parking area (9 volunteers)
• Skillet toss (4 volunteers)
• Children’s activities — “fishing,” frog-on-a-lily-pad, ring toss, coin toss, pumpkin painting and more (30 volunteers)
• Information booth (6 volunteers)
• Cider tent (9 volunteers)
• Café Conway — bake sale (9 volunteers)
• Fried dough (9 volunteers)
• Merchandise table (6 volunteers)
• Green Team — trash, recycling, compost, etc. (19 volunteers)
• Floating/emergency volunteers (3 volunteers)
• Post-Festival clean-up — remove feather banners, pack up children’s games, retrieve parking signs, tables and chairs, and more (10 volunteers)
